Developing Leaders!
At the Meadows Elementary library we are excited about the opportunity to assist our students in developing their own leadership skills through a formal library assistants program so not only are they confident, competent independent users of the library but they can then apply the leadership traits and people skills they develop to a wide range of real-world situations they encounter elsewhere.
As the library is often used as a safe haven by students who prefer their own company, the program can also offer opportunities for them to interact with others in a safe, structured environment so they also develop those social skills they will need as they venture into the world.
